Insulation for Heating Control System
Insulation between the concrete slab & heating electric radiant heat floor control system is not required. But many contractors & even many homeowners like to opt for it. So they like to install a “thermal break” when they opt for new floor heating. As heat in floor heating electric goes to cold, hence warm objects & surfaces will transfer heat to cold surface. Any insulating material which is under the Floor Heat elements will tend to slow the transfer of heat from the heating elements into the slab. This will decrease the time taken by your floor warming electric heated floor system to warm your floor.
